February brings at least three new events connected to the Beauregard Corridor Plan:
Joint Work Session on Working Draft of Beauregard Plan
Alexandria’s city council and its planning commission will hold a joint work session on Monday, February 13, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, to receive an update on the working draft of the Beauregard Small Area Plan. The work session will take place in the West End Community Redevelopment Room at Landmark Mall, 5801 Duke Street, Alexandria.
Community Meeting on the Beauregard Corridor
The City of Alexandria will host the next community meeting on the Beauregard Corridor on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the John Adams Elementary School’s media center (5651 Rayburn Avenue, Alexandria). The meeting agenda will include discussion of community comments received on the working draft of the Beauregard Small Area Plan.
The City has extended the deadline to provide public comments on the working draft of the Beauregard Small Area Plan until Monday, February 13, 2012. Public comments on the working draft of the Plan should be posted on the Beauregard Small Area Plan comment board at http://alexandriava.gov/BeauregardPlan or e-mailed to zunilda dot rodriguez at alexandriava dot gov.
The meeting agenda for the next Beauregard Community Meeting will be posted prior to the meeting on the Community Outreach section of the Beauregard Small Area Plan web site at http://alexandriava.gov/BeauregardPlan This meeting is open to the public. Public comments are welcome. Spanish translation services will be provided at the meeting.
Community Open House on Beauregard Corridor Redevelopment
Citizens can learn about plans for Alexandria’s Beauregard Corridor at a free Community Open House, to be held at the Shops at Mark Center (1452–1480 N. Beauregard Street, Alexandria) on Saturday, February 11, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Representatives from the property owners for the redevelopment sites and their consultants will be on hand to answer questions about the Beauregard Corridor Plan.
